Nextra's Time and Attendance module includes a wide range of facilities for current and historical management
Many post-payroll disputes are linked to time and attendance. A great way to avoid these disputes and maintain harmonious relationships in the workplace is to invest in a time and attendance system. If employees are paid for hours they didn’t work, this can make a sizeable and unnecessary dent in your revenue. However, if they don’t receive payment for hours that they did work, this can cause disputes and harm both workplace morale and productivity. These systems are designed to accurately track the hours worked by employees so these scenarios can be avoided.
A time and attendance system can be used to track both clocking and non-clocking of shifts. It can also calculate payroll based on shift patterns to reduce labour time and maintain accuracy. Time and attendance systems have helped companies from all kinds of industries to keep post-payroll queries to a minimum and ensure employees are paid accurately for their hours worked.
What to expect from our Time and Attendance module
Features
Our Time and Attendance module comes complete with various facilities to help UK companies calculate hours, identify the future availability of labour and manage annualised hours/flexible-working schemes.
It can help you manage:
- Clocking and non-clocking of shifts
- Worked hours, overtime, sickness, holidays and other forms of absence
- Business rules, pay rules, and shift patterns including fixed, flexible, and rotating shifts
- Absenteeism and lateness
The time and attendance module also offers detailed reporting to help you control attendance, absence, and overtime. Supported clocking methods include mobile devices / swipe or Biometric Units / PC Clocking.
Protects Accuracy
Nextra ensures casual workers are only paid for hours that have been worked and approved. No overtime will be accrued for working longer hours unless this is approved. All hours worked can easily be viewed on timesheets and amended by authorised managers. Employees and casual workers can see all hours worked on timesheets and have them amended by authorised managers if necessary.
Employees can submit timesheets electronically through the module. Once timesheets are approved, they are exported to payroll automatically. The module supports weekly, monthly and fortnightly timesheets.
